Adult Orthodontics & Invisalign
Can you imagine having invisible braces? Our Invisalign “invisible” braces can straighten your teeth more discreetly than traditional metal wire braces. Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners custom created for you. These trays are made of smooth, comfortable, and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. The trays gently and gradually shift your teeth into place based on the exact movements your orthodontist plans out for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks until your treatment is complete. With Invisalign, you can eat with comfort, floss and brush with ease, and have your teeth cleaned comfortably.
Learn MoreRoot Canals
Your own natural tooth is meant to last a lifetime. Even if your tooth becomes injured or infected, it can be saved with a root canal treatment. With proper support your root canal treated tooth can last just as long as if it had never been damaged.
Learn MorePeriodontal (Gum) Treatment
Periodontal Disease is the most common chronic inflammatory disease in the country. It is an infection of the tissues that surround your teeth and is primarily caused by the bacteria that collects between your teeth and gums. If left untreated, the bone around the teeth can be destroyed, and teeth may become loose, abscessed, or fall out completely. When early periodontal disease starts in the gums, it is called Gingivitis. With appropriate treatment, Gingivitis can be reversed.
Learn MoreOral Surgery/Extractions
While we at Tewksbury Dental Associates make every effort to help you keep your teeth for a lifetime, there may be times when extractions are necessary. Wisdom teeth may be impacted or progressive decay or gum disease could have affected a tooth to the point where it is impossible to restore. Recovery from these procedures is normally quick, with minimal swelling.
